What a wonderful day
for a bicycle ride to the park!
Not so for my three
year old who took a spill on his new bicycle, complete with training
wheels. After wiping away the blood (and the tears), it was just a split
lip. Back up on the bike he went like a real rockstar.
Last
weekend it's 70 degrees and we make the trip to Williamsburg to check the Great
Wolf Lodge. My three-year-old tells me it has now replaced Chuck E. Cheese
as his most favorite place in the world.
This weekend it's 30
degrees and raining. Sure wish we were back at Landen's favorite place in
the world.
A good snow storm today in Washington, DC with nearly eight inches. After shoveling the driveway, I took the morning off to take the kids sledding for the very first time. It's the little things in life that make everything so sweet.
Great dinner last night with my mom, her significant other Carl, my mother-in-law Mama Hahn, Uncle Andy/Aunt Lara/Taylor/Matthew, and (of course) the fabulous Hilary, Hunter and Landen.
Washington, DC based chain Silver Diner does a wonderful job creating a family friendly atmosphere. I even got to eat Hunter's ice cream sundae!
A client shared this
with me today and I thought, "Finally, I understand why the market is in the
tank."
I'm going to write
about this on professional blog, personal blog, Twitter feed, Facebook profile,
LinkedIn profile, Friendfeed stream...
Good news
today! I took another step towards confirming a new client assignment that
would be an innovative approach to tying social media with a lead qualification
program. It's for a very cool open source technology
product.
A client is off
to Dallas for a week on business travel. I think she hopes to work in a
rodeo and a little country line dancing in between meetings. Maybe she'll
even run into this guy.
I wish I were cool enough to wear boots and a cowboy
hat.
Spent
the day with Hunter and Landen to give mom some time off. She was snowed
in with the guys for a couple of days and was getting a bit
frazzled.
We ran errands today
and even hit the mall. Landen choice of clothing: three University of
Maryland jerseys and a part of Terp sweat pants. He drew lots of looks and
smiles.
On Saturday
afternoon I spent nearly six hours raking and bagging leaves and branches from
yard.
I could barely sit
through a movie that evening with my wife and I'm just now able to stand up and
walk without groaning from the soreness.
Hello 40s!
Next time I'll be hiring someone to take the lead on leaves.
